Hi Jon,
The mix is a lot tighter in this version and I really digg the stereo width and pan-space in this mix - I can hear the difference, especially the pre-delay on the percussion lines. May I suggest that if you want to upload an 'improved or re-edited version' of the same song that you upload a new track so that we can compare to the orginal. Also, there is a bug in this site where if you make any modifications to a track at all, it becomes hidden and even the comments disappear too. Anyway a deserved 82% for this. Cheers, --Davey--

Hi Alandra :) And thank you! The drums sure have bin through a lot of work, with for example some flanger fx. And for this i used "Twisted Tools-Rolodecks". Love that instrument. I was a bit afraid bout the flute, and if it was to fast for the trigger finger, but i wanted to make it sound "electronic" even thou the instruments should sound as naturel as possible. And for the "uilleann pipe", i just love that instrument- and all other celtic inspired instruments, and i wanted the tune to be a hard mix of folk, celtic, medieval - blended with simple electro. I´ll keep that in mind to next track, bout the harmony- it may be a little to mono is the end. Thats why i have these "breaks" with guitars and such. The dark voices is actually one voice i "clouded" through "AtomicCloud"- a granular synthesis. The hole tune is created with FL Studio. And for the instruments i used Kontakt 4 ( i have Komplete 6)- and Kontakt have some native instruments right from the box that ive used. I created the melody myself of couse via midi. Thank you for your comment :)!! And i hope that i have answered all your questions

I was asked to make a comment about this track by the DI Staff. The sounds are really well mixed and mastered. The effects on the drums (it seems a little touch of flanger) is the right way to modernize them. The other sounds are really good even though the flute seems electronic too much in my view, and it does not seem real in the fast 1/16 performance. The bagpipes are really good, but from a musical point of view a harmony with bass and cellos or whatever you like in alternative would have add more interest to this the melody, and more expression. In my point of view you've got an interestins melody, interesting sounds and mix, but more harmony and more variations on the drums progression would have add more pleasure to this track. I would like to know if this is a product made through midi programming or using third parts' samples. Whatever it is this is a good track that deserves for sure 8 stars for DI parameters.
Keep on doing your great music!
Alandra

And a translation from "Da Moder Jord Var Jomfru"
( danish ) to english is:
"when Mother Earth was a virgin"
Just a little FAQ ;)

But i would be so darn happy if the name could be corrected. And i am so sorry for making this mistake.

Thank you petetjardi! really appreciate your comment and time. Thank you!.

Guys i have a question. I noticed that my artist name is wrong. It is misspelled.
Is it possible to change this? The real name should be:
"Da Moder Jord Var Jomfru" and not "....-jomfu"

Hii guyz and thank you SO much. Man i didnt expect comments already, or comments at all haha.. But man, yours are just amazing! You just made my day;)

I dont know "Bianco di Gaia or Coco Steel & Lovebomb" but think im gonna have to give them a listen. Ill take a listen to "Tremors" after writing this reply.
The sound & bottom of this track was very hard to work with. I think i have used 6 differet compressors, limiters, filters etc to destroy the peaks as much as possible without hurting the kick. At the final mix, i just normalized it to make it as loud as possible. Im am so glad that you guys like it, because this genre is VERY new to me. I have experienced with celtic"medieval" before, but nothing like this. Thank you.
And oh yea- man i knew i forgot something. It could have bin so awsome if i stereo panned more of the fx, left to rigt etc. But that have to wait to next time. Thank you for your words and help! i really appreciate it

Amazing sounds, great ideas, very well mixed together.
If i were to add anything to this production, then it would be more use of your stereo pitchinh, have some sounds from over here, and some sounds from other areas.
All in all very well done ;-]

Well - it's nice sometimes to hear more experimental songs on D.I. and this is no exception. I'm very much reminded of Bianco di Gaia or Coco Steel & Lovebomb here...The 'new age' flute, bagpipes, mandolin and beats work very well with those filtered bass rez. pads and reverbed FX. In fact, the rez. pads are very similar to those I used in my own track, 'Tremors' which you can find on my artist page under my 'Above The Plain' album. Have a listen and see what you think. As for this track, although it may be an idea to record at about 3 or so db higher, I have to say I'm very impressed with this creation so I'm going to award you with a derserved 8 star rating and a warm welcome to D.I. 80% --Davey-- (D.I.
